FACILITIES

Blackness Veterinary surgery have occupied the Brook Street premises since 1967 after the previous surgery on Ward Road (est. late 19th century!) was compulsorily purchased for the building of the Marketgait by-pass. Purpose built , the interior of the building has undergone considerable modernisation which is still a work in progress! We have a comfortable waiting area and 2 large consulting rooms, one of which has  facility for emergency oxygen therapy. 

Behind the scenes there is a large hospitalisation ward and further kennel facilities in the surgery preparation area, as well as a dedicated operating theatre.  We routinely use a modern high speed dental machine for all our dental procedures. We have an in-house laboratory to give rapid turnaround of results and diagnostic imaging facilities (radiography and ultrasound), as well as offering electrocardiography and blood pressure monitoring.
